This Parts as a whole was a little easier, though I did many trials none of them really looked right. For example my first try I did only coins and made them random, not one coin for each country, and I didn't like so much. So I tried again. My only real struggle for this was getting the coins to cover all the white space without overlapping so much that you couldn't tell what the value was. My inspiration for this idea came from the world map in front of my computer and the dollar bill on the cover of the accounting book next to my computer. Though looking at it now, it makes me wonder if I should have used the different currency for the different countries because not everyone uses US money........oo
This project I didn't really know how to go about it. I picked my animal that I wanted to make the whole. But as far as keeping the shape while applying the other parts, I was stumped. Instead I just kept the original picture of the phoenix and covered it up, then removed it leaving just the fruit. It didn't turn out quite how I had pictured it, before starting. I used fruit for their color to really make the impression of a phoenix. But then it seemed so empty with all the white, and I added a low opacity brush to fill in the space around the fruit. I used cherries, orange slices, blackberries, and raspberries, overall I think it turned out okay.
